New visual aesthetic


In aesthetic aspect, ecological paradigm of landscape architecture has similar meaning with photographic paradigm, by which indicate a paradigm-shift denoting “the appearance of a new visual aesthetic, so that a novel conception of representation becomes dominant” (Peter Hamilton, 1997).
As what happened in scientific paradigm-sift, familiar landscape are seen (or re-seen) in a revolutionary way. Such paradigm (some time known as ecologism) addresses how we understand nature and the environment and applies this understanding to current sociological approaches. Typical example of new visual aesthetic can be found on post-industrial Brownfield, where bare-ground, relics of factories and industrial residues have been remarked as items with strong social and cultural characters, which fostering different, unique communities of plant species from all over the world.
